getting a taste of the real violent world

Of late ive been getting closer to trouble.literally close.
the first time was when my parents and i got caught in the middle of the vinayaka chaturthi procession. If not for a resouceful cop who stopped those thugs from banging our car and let us get away safely, it would have turned out to be a bad scene.
and there was this other day when i took a bus after a looong time.was coming back from college.the bus was relatively empty until 20 or so guys got into the bus and started making noise.the conductor's warning fell on deaf ears and soon the heated arguments broke out into a fist fight. The driver just lets go of the steering in the middle of the road (we were saved by a passenger who took over).all the trouble makers escape save one who is eventually beaten up by everyone in the bus.lucky me is sitting in the middle of the whole thing.twas the first time i saw somwone getting beaten up so close, someone spitting blood.i was sure the guy would die.in the middle of all this i was trying to take pictures knowing fully well that my phone wud be broken if someone foundout. all this in a matter of 10 mins along the marina.finally the bus stopped in front of a police station and i got out. this being my lucky day traffic was being diverted near the station and there was no way i could leave.as i was waiting to leave the other guys turn up near the station in busloads-certainly a recipe for disaster. scared exhausted and frightened i was waiting there hoping for the worst when miraculously an auto came and i took it.

the last event was quite recent-yesterday, i was driving back from college when i got caught in a traffic jam.the reason for the traffic ajm was a funeral procession.which consisted of the funeral van(which was a mini lorry),one share auto and 5-6 autos.now this procession was horribly slow(they seemed to have forgoten that they were taking the main road where traffic is usually heavy)and they woud not let anyone go in front.a bus tried to overte them and i follwed suit and came dangerously close to getting hit by the people in the autos.The bus , myself and a lot of other cars were eventually forced to crawl for a few kilometers.
like ive mentioned before it takes almost nothing to provoke a crowd bent of wreaking havoc.
Surprisingly the cops have been quite efficient (atleast in these situations) in controlling the mob.
