am blogging now more to brag about myself than writing about things that depress me.

well... the bragging first. VTI -Victoria Technical Institute has accepted my paintings. Whether they'd successfully sell them is another thing that am not worried about.at least for now.


well to the things that depress me

We live in a democratic country which arrests good Samaritans coz they dare to point out the atrocities of the government- a government for the people, by the people , of the people...

Ashish nandy- he came close to getting arrested and got saved only after the SC intervened

I wonder how many times the Sc has to involve itself in these frivolous cases...
am glad sanity prevails at least in one quarter

and numerous other people who i haven't heard of

the list goes on...


on to the next thing before my ramblings make me forget the other things that depress me

i recently read an article in a tamil magazine which said that the catholic church in tamilnadu is planning to make a movie on St . thomas at a cost of 100 crores. If that isnt painful enough they are planning to rope in rajni kanth for the role of tiruvalluvar...
insane tragic behavior....wonder if they coudnt come up with a more decent way to squander money...

also wonder if theyd rope in nayanthara to play vasuki.... tiruvalluvar's sexy wife.....

another thing that irritates n saddens me
week after week i keep hearing of Tamil fishermen being shot or being captured...
and the state government and the central government
do pretty much noting except probably offer a much delayed prefunctionary condemnation.
dont understand how stupid the government was i the first place to have let go of that piece of barren land that causes so many deaths...

the cover story in a magazine about the possible breakup and domestic issues of a singing couple... to see it not on a tabloid but on the cover of a magazine which is political in its content....
